Henry I, king of England (d.1135)

Biography
Henry, king of England (1100-35), was the youngest son of William I (the Conqueror) and Matilda of Flanders. He had three brothers, Robert Curthose (d.1134), William II (Rufus) (d.1100) and Richard (d.1069×75), and five sisters (Adelida, Cecilia, Matilda, Constance, Adela). Henry had at least one illegitimate son, Robert. He married Matilda (Edith) (d.1118), daughter of Malcolm [Mael Coluim] III of Scotland and his queen, Margaret. They had two children, Matilda (d.1167) who married Emperor Heinrich V, and William Ætheling (d.1120). http://www.oxforddnb.com/view/article/12948 In 1120, William, son of King Henry, Richard, his brother, and Richard earl of Chester died in a shipwreck with many other nobles (Chron. Holyrood, 115).
