Description
Robert, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful Walter son of Gilbert knight for his homage and faithful service to us, and to Mary his spouse, the whole barony of Kinneil (WLO) in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh with the lands of Larbert (STL) and Auldcathie (WLO) which pertain to that barony, holding by them and their legitimate heirs in feu and heritage, with the services of freeholders, bondi, bondages, neyfs and their offspring, as freely as Herbert the Chamberlain, lord of the same barony, and his successors from the time of the late lord David, king of Scotland, performing service owed and accustomed.
