- Description
- Alexander, firstborn son of king of Scots, writes to his uncle, King Edward I, reporting on his father's health and that Master Adam of Kirkcudbright, former physician of Robert de Brus, has freed him from death and restored his health. Also, that Adam possesses an ecclesiastical benefice in Edward's kingdom, which he is unable to visit, having been occupied with cure of Alexander [III]'s health. Alexander asks king to order bishops of Norwich and Lincoln, as well as Ralph of Couny [?] and Bernard de Brus, with their agents, to go in advance, so as to cause no harm.
