Ralph Basset, lord of Drayton, keeper of Maiden Castle (Edinburgh), has received from William of Kinghorn, late constable of Maiden Castle, forty marks for his wages for forty days, granted to him by his lord, the king of England and overlord of the realm of Scotland, for the custody of the aforesaid castle.
