Description
Prior [Duncan] and convent of Whithorn to Walter, archbishop of York; explain that, to great hindrance to their church and especially on account of war of king of Scots against Galwegians, they cannot be present before the archbishop at York on morrow of Translation of St Martin, on account of confirmation and consecration of Sir Odo, canon and bishop-elect; they have appointed as procurator Brother Gregory, fellow canon, in negotiations at said day and place, and in everything pertaining to them
