Description
Alexander, king of Scots, for William of Badby; has granted whole land of Manor (PEB) with its pertinents, which Nicholas Corbet, knight, returned and resigned to king on Sunday, morrow of St Mark the Evangelist, A.D. 1271 at 'Kynchecheuyn'; to hold by right boundaries which it had on day when King David was alive and dead, with homage and services (excepting land of late Norman the huntsman, which King Malcolm, brother of King William, king's grandfather, gave him); if William should die without a legitimate heir, then his bastard son, John, is to hold land by same terms; and if John should die without legitimate issue, then land is to revert to king
