Description
Robert, king of Scots, to his chamberlain of Scotland and his sheriff and bailies of Perth, noting that he has truly understood that his predecessor the late Lord Alexander [III], king of Scots, gave the Friars Preachers of Perth in pure and perpetual alms freedom from multure of five chalders of wheat and ten chalders of bere annually at his mill of Perth, and that they can grind their own corn their without multure ('roumfre'); 'roumfre' should only be exercised after grinding the corn of the king, the chancellor, justiciar and chamberlain, and any other's grain in the hopper.
