Description
Alexander, king of Scots, has received abbot and convent of Balmerino under his firm peace and protection; wherefore forbids that anyone cause any injury to them, on pain of forfeiture; has also granted to them that no one may seize poinds for any debt other than personal debts, except in king's burghs; he also commands his sheriffs and bailies that all those in their burghs who owe debts to monks be compelled to pay them.
