Description
To Sir John de Molynton, knight of Sir John de la Mare, staying at Dumfries for the keeping of that region with five of de la Mare’s squires after the king’s withdrawal from that place, as a prest on wages. Dunscore 14 Aug. 1307. To Sir Richard Siward, banneret, for wages of knights and squires staying at Dumfries, Dunscore, 14 Aug. To Brothers John and Thomas of Melrose, keeping a grange of that abbey at Dunscore, in compensation for damage done by the king and his army to the grange and adjacent grain, Dunscore, 14 Aug. To Michael de Legles, a poor Scot, for damage by the king and his army to his grain at Dunscore.
