- Inquisition at Dumfries(?) … in the king’s 32nd year [20 Nov. 1303×19 Nov. 1304] as to the lands of John of Hermiston – his conduct since coming to the king’s peace – on what conditions he was received, and who have the lands; by Thomas of Kirkconnel, Gillemichel MacBeth, Andrew of Kirkconnel, Robert of Moffat, Patrick son of Murk, Patrick Proudfoot, Patrick Seldeman, Alan …, Gilwewel McKilguiny, Thomas of Colville, Gilmore son of Uhtred, and Reginald son of …, who say he has conducted himself well, but they know not on what conditions he was received in the sheriffdom of Cal…(?) He had land called Ardry in the tenement of Preston in Galloway, worth £10, and Philip Dury(?) holds it now by the king’s gift and has a charter.
