Document 1/27/0 (Stevenson, Docs., ii, no. 637)
- Description
- The king writes to John [MacDougall] of Argyll noting that he has understood what John has informed him by his letter, sent by his valets, the bearers of these present letters, and how John has given full power to his valets to be at Edward’s parliament. In reference to John’s inability to attend parliament due to illness, the king holds him fully excused. Because he has great confidence in him and his loyalty, the king commands that he employ himself diligently with regard to the keeping and maintenance of peace in the marches and parts of his neighbourhood.
