Description
Memorandum that Sir John of Droxford has assigned in the king’s name a clerk to Sir Philip de Vernay, keeper of the villa of Berwick, that is, William de Rue. The said clerk shall reside at Berwick, answerable to Sir John of Kingston, constable of Edinburgh, and to his orders, to send thither all kinds of food-supplies for men and horses as the said Sir John shall order him and let him know by his letter. Further terms are stipulated.
