Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland and duke of Aquitaine makes known that he has appointed his sworn-man, Patrick of Dunbar, earl of March to be chief of the king’s troops, of the castles and of other places which are garrisoned on the borders and elsewhere on this side of the Scottish sea.
