Document 2/7/97 (Stevenson, Docs., ii, no. 464)

Description
Robert, bishop of Glasgow, writes to his special friend, Sir Hugh de Cressingham, treasurer of Scotland, noting that he has recently received from him a certain letter of credence by Sir Reginald of Crawford, knight, which he has understood in full, and he has finished his work as much as possible (God knows) as Master Walter Cammoys, the bishop’s clerk, bearer of the present letter, will intimate to him in full. And the said Sir Reginald, who took part personally in the fulfilment of this credence, shall have an interview with Cressingham, so that he might intimate this in full. Bishop Robert has also sent Master Walter to the bishop of Durham on his business.
