Description
At Ipswich, 2 January 1297, before the bishops of Durham and Ely, Sir J[ohn] of Langton, chancellor, and others assigned by the king. Maria, wife of Sir Simon Fraser, who held in Scotland 200 marks of land, as she claims. She may have towards the sustenance of herself ‘and her children’ 50 marks of ‘the said’ land, until the king commands otherwise. 50 marks. Joan, wife of Sir Nicholas de la Haye, who held, etc., £250 of land; she may have, etc., £62 of the said land, until, etc. £62. Joan, wife of Sir John Butler, who holds, etc., 20 marks [of land]; she may have, etc., 10 marks of the said land, until, etc. 10 marks.
