Description
The king writes to each of the constables of the castles in Scotland, noting that his sworn-man, John de Warenne, earl of Surrey, his guardian of the land of Scotland, has sent the king’s sworn-men, Elias d’Aubigny and Saer de Huntingfield, to parts of Scotland to expedite the king’s special business. The king thus commands that they permit the said Elias and Saer and those who they shall direct or summon, to enter and stay in the said castles as often as the come there.
