Description
Robert, bishop of Glasgow, James Stewart of Scotland and Alexander of Lindsey note the recent war made by Sir Robert de Bruce, earl of Carrick against their lord, Sir Edward, king of England, lord of Ireland and duke of Aquitaine; and since afterwards the said Sir Robert surrendered to the peace of their lord the king by negotiations between himself and his allies and Sirs Henry de Percy and Robert de Clifford, for the king, the addressors now become mainprisors for the said Sir Robert, on pain of life and limb until he shall deliver Marjory, his daughter as hostage to the said Sirs Henry and Robert. They append their seals.
