Description
Nicholas of Seagrave, the knight, has received from Sir Alexander de Balliol, chamberlain of Scotland, and Robert Heron, rector of the church of Ford, [who was made] an associate to the same by the lord king of England, superior lord of the kingdom of Scotland, thirty-eight pounds of sterling in the name of his wages for the custody of the castle of Dumbarton and of Ayr, for the remainder of his wages all the way until the feast of the Holy Trinity.
