Description
Robert de Brus, earl of Carrick and lord of Annandale, had given, granted and by his present charter established to Sir William of Carlisle, knight, for the increase of his land of Kinmount (DMF), one piece of land from the common pasture of Brus’s tenement of Newby, which piece of land begins at the house which Malota held, and continues by stated bounds, including the land which Hugh son of Laurence held, the land of Sir William of Carlisle which he gave away towards ‘Mikelkeldwelle’ and the houses of Sir William of Carlisle of Kinmount.
