Description
Pope Nicholas IV writes to the priory and chapter of the church of Whithorn, noting their petition, that Alexander, king of Scotland, had bestowed the right of patronage of the church of Holy Trinity in Ramsey, Sodor diocese, upon them, with the consent of the local diocesan, as contained in letters patent bearing his seal. At the priory’s request, Pope Nicholas established by apostolic authority what the king has made.
