Description
William de Valognes, son and heir of the late Sir William de Valognes, the knight, lord of Dalginch in Fife, has given, granted and by this his present charter established to John of Liddel, son and heir of Thomas of Liddel, the lands of Panlathy, Balbinny and Pitcundrum (ANG), which the said Thomas of Liddel held of Sir William heritably, to be held and had by John, his heirs and assignees from William and his heirs, in feu and heritage. They are to thenceforth provide the Scottish forinsec service of the king as pertains to the lands, and suit at the court of the earl of Angus for the lands. They are to render to William and his heirs at the chief lordship of Panlathy, two pennies of sterling in the name of an annual feu-ferme, viz.: one penny at the feast of Pentecost and one penny at the feast of St Martin in winter, for all custom, exaction, servile work and secular demand. William promises warrandice.
