Document 2/301/1 (Glas. Reg., no. 252)
- Description
- Memorandum that in 1296 Sir Adam of Warwick, a monk of Holm Cultram, in the name of his monastery, and within the common chapter of Glasgow, had made a speech concerning the confirmation of exemptions of the chapel of Kirkwinning (Kirkgunzeon, KCB). Sir William Wishart, archdeacon of Teviotdale, in whose archdeaconry the aforesaid chapel is being recognized to be situated, asserted that his right, or that of his successors in the chapel, is to in no way be reduced or diminished, but the jurisdiction of him and his successors in the chapel, with all the pertinents, is to be in all things undiminished, and its integrity is to be maintained.
