- Description
- Henry, bishop of Aberdeen, by the unanimous assent and consent of his chapter, has granted and made firm the infeftment and sale which William of Tottenhall, son of the late James of Tottenhall, made to Patrick of Ruthven of two ploughgates of land in Kennethmont (ABD, later Ardlair), which Bishop Matthew conveyed to William of Tottenhall, grandfather of the said William, just as the charter which William of Tottenhall thence provided to Patrick of Ruthven and his heirs fully contains. Thenceforth, Patrick and his heirs are to annually render to the bishop and his successors two marks of silver from the lands, at two times of the year, viz.: one mark at the feast of Pentecost and one mark at the feast of St Martin in winter, for all other secular exaction and demand.
