Description
On the same day [10 July 1296] and at the same place [Montrose], with the same witnesses and the Notary being present, the lord John of Moray, knight, attained the trust and goodwill of the lord king of England, and he annulled alliances, contracts, conventions, and pacts, if ever any were entered into in his name against the king of England with the king of the French; and having taken the holy gospels and kissed them, he performed fealty to the king of England; and upon his fealty so performed, he made his letters patent sealed with his pendant seal.
