Elias the clerk, son of Fulbert, has given and made firm by this his charter to Paisley Priory, the church of Mearns (RNF), with all its pertinents, in perpetual alms, for the souls of Walter son of Alan (I) and of Herbert, bishop of Glasgow, and others, and for the welfare of the soul of himself, of Alan (the steward), his patron, and of his brothers.
