- James, steward of Scotland, with the consent of his council, has inspected the charters and muniments of Sir Henry of Graham, père, and especially the charter whereby Alan son of Walter, steward of the king of Scotland, his ancestor, gave to Adam son of Gilbert and his heirs the feu of Tarbolton (AYR), which is quoted in full herein, which donation and grant he had established by his present charter to Sir Henry of Graham, père; moreover, he has given, granted and established to Sir Henry of Graham, père and his heirs all escheats which might fall on the feu of Tarbolton and of felony, similarly of manslaughter, and of theft or larceny, and the furnishings of houses ('le inspreth domorum').
