- John Moneypenny son and heir of the late Richard Moneypenny […] has established to Nicholas of Milton at that time clerk of the king’s chamber and his heirs or assignees and their heirs, for a certain sum of money which the said Nicholas paid him in his great need, all his land of Morton in the holding of Blebo (FIF) without any reservation, by stated bounds, with half the meadow to the east of Blebo, and with all rights, rendering annually to him and his heirs at Pentecost one pair of white gloves or 1d., and to the heir of Blebo annually 10s., namely 5s. on Pentecost and 5s. on Martinmas, and aid of the lord king and the bishop as pertains to a third of a davoch, and providing in the army of the lord king food for one man. Nicholas and his tenants shall grind their corn at the mill of Blebo to the 20th vessel, and before everyone except the heir of Kinninmonth (FIF). He obligates himself and his heirs to faithfully observe this in perpetuity, on pain of £100, and subjecting themselves to the jurisdiction and authority of the lord bishop of St Andrews and his official.
