- Description
- Robert of Miningsby, due to his great need, with the consent and will of Agnes, his daughter and heiress, and of Walter his brother, in the court of Glasgow, has sold, granted, and by this his present charter established to Master Reginald of Irvine, archdeacon of Glasgow, all his land which he had in the villa of Glasgow, as it lies between the lands of Peter of Tynedale towards the east, and the land of Edgar the vicar, towards the west, for a certain sum of money which the said Master Reginald has paid. Which land was offered to his nearest relations and friends, in the court of Glasgow, at three head courts of the year, and at other courts often, according to law and the custom of the burgh. He has given sasine of the land with its pertinents to Master Reginald in presence of the provosts and bailies of Glasgow, and twelve burgesses and others of the said city. To have and hold in free burgage, paying yearly to the bishop of Glasgow the rent due for all secular service, custom, exaction and demand.
