Description
Walran de Normanville gave, granted and by this his present charter established to Guy de Normanville, his brother, and his heirs, all his land of Maxton (ROX) by its correct bounds which are contained in his charter which he has from Sir John, his brother, with all the liberties and easements pertaining to the land, to be held and had by Guy and his heirs from Walran and his heirs just as he held or was owed to hold it. Guy and his heirs are to render to Walran and his heirs annually for all service, custom, exaction and demand, one pair of gilded spurs at the fair of Roxburgh, unless he and his heirs annually render one 'tercellum' hawk or 3 shillings to the superior lord of the feu.
