Description
Nicholas the weaver, burgess of Berwick, in his great need, sold to the abbot and convent of Melrose, the whole half of his land in Briggate (in Berwick, BWK), situated between the land of the monks of Melrose and the land of Arnold Hannan, and additionally, all right and suit which is applicable or can be applicable to him and his heirs, with the buildings, freedoms, pertinents and all the easements at the land, for 100 marks of legal stirling, unbound from all service, exaction, custom, aid, and demand.
