William son of Robert has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Dryburgh Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms, that meadow which he had by gift of Samson of ‘Logis’ (Longcrofts/Samsonshiels, BWK), by stated bounds, and the cultivated land which is within the meadow there.
