William de Vescy has granted and made firm by his charter, for the salvation of all his ancestors and successors, to Melrose Abbey, those 10 oxgangs and one acre of land which Walter of Ryedale, son of Patrick of Ryedale, conferred to them in the territory of Lilliesleaf (ROX) as the charter of Walter fully testifies.
