Description
Matilda Corbet has resigned and quitclaimed in perpetuity to her lord, Patrick of Ryedale and his heirs, a certain part of her land of Lilliesleaf (ROX) by said bounds, which include the land of bishop of Glasgow, her land, and the land of the abbot of Kelso. She resigned all this land and whatever is contained within it, except the land of William son of Alexander, to Patrick. Additionally, she resigned and quitclaimed pasture for … cows and five horses and 100 sheep wherever her animals or the animals of her men of the same villa graze …. with the common easements of the same villa. He made the resignation and quitclaim on the condition that the land be given to Melrose Abbey, in pure alms. (damaged)
