- Description
- John son of Michael has given, granted and by this his present charter established to Maurice, his man, son of Robert, all that land which Aldred the smith and Oliver, his son, held in his land of Penshiel (ELO), by stated bounds, in feu and heritage, with all the pertinents and easements justly pertaining to the same land, free and quit from all service and custom. Maurice and his heirs are to return to John and his heirs annually a pair of gilded spurs or six pennies at the feast of Saint Michael, save the common pasture for John's sheep.
