Description
Patrick of Ryedale has granted and by this his charter established to Melrose Abbey, in free, pure and perpetual alms, the donation which Robert of Barnoldby made to the church of that part of the land in territory of Whitton (ROX) which is contained within stated bounds, including the land of Robert of Barnoldby and the land which William, persona of Hownam, held at ferme from Robert of Barnoldby, save his service from Robert and his heirs.
