- Description
- Walter son of Alan, steward of the lord king of Scotland, gave the land of Mow (ROX) with its correct bounds and whatever is contained within the same bounds, which he held in feu of Sir William de Vescy, to the monks of Melrose in exchange for the land which is called ‘Freretun’ with all its pertinents which the nuns of South Berwick seized there, and in addition with the land land which is called ‘Feret’. The monks gave to him 200 marks on account of the exchange.
