Description
Stephen of Kinardley, for the welfare of his lord, King William, of good memory, and for the welfare of his lord, King Alexander (II), and his lady, Queen Joanna, and others, has given, granted and by this his charter established, by the wish and consent of Stephen his son and heir, to Arbroath Abbey, that davoch in the Mearns called Pittengardner (KCD), by its right bounds, in free, pure and perpetual alms, free and quit from all service and secular exaction. Moreover, he has given and granted to the monks in perpetuity licence to build a watercourse on his land at his mill of Balfeith (KCD).
