Description
Osulf son of Uhtred, by the consent of his son and heir, Uhtred, for the redemption of the soul of his lord, King David, and his son, Henry, and for the life and salvation of his lord, King Malcolm and his brother, and for the salvation of his soul and his sons, gives and grants to Melrose Abbey (the land of) Ringwood (in Teviothead, ROX), free and quit from all terrestrial service, assises, gelds, aids, and all secular exaction and custom, in perpetual alms, by stated bounds.
