Description
William, called of the hill of Midlem, son of Waltheof son of Alwin, in full court of his lords, the Abbot and Convent of Kelso at Midlem, has remitted and quitclaimed the whole land with its pertinents which he held in Midlem (ROX) from his lords, the abbot and convent of Kelso, with the charter relating to the same, to the abbey. He obliges himself and his heirs to pay 40 pounds of goods and legal sterling to his lords, the abbot and convent, if they impede the monks.
