Description: Richenda, daughter of Humphrey of Berkeley, in her widowhood, notes that in the time of her former husband, Robert son of Warnebald, they made an agreement with the abbot and convent of Arbroath by their common counsel and assent, whereby Richenda and Robert demitted to the abbot and convent at feuferme certain lands that they had in the parish of Conveth in Mearns (Laurencekirk, KCD), namely the land of the lordship of Conveth, and the land of Halton, and the land called Scotston, for 20s annual renders, half on Pentecost and half on Martinmas for all service and secular demand. After the death of R[obert], Richenda, in the year 1245, being in the free power of her widowhood, has ratified and by this her charter established this agreement.
