Description
Adam Long of Hume has given, granted, and established by this his charter, to Robert, his son, as his assign, the whole land which he held from Dom Robert, the abbot, and the convent of Kelso in the territory of Hume (BWK), and additionally, he resigns and quitclaims all the rights and claims which he has or is able able to have in the land to Robert, his son and assign, to be held and had by him and his heirs from the said abbot and convent and their successors, just as he held the said land from the said abbot and Convent as secured in the charter which the said abbot and convent gave to him. Robert and his heirs will release to the doms of Kelso and their successors 10 shillings annually for all services which they may be able to receive, namely five shillings at the feast of Saint Martin and five shillings at Pentecost.
