Description
Thomas of Brotherstone has granted and by this his present charter established to Dryburgh Abbey the toft and croft that was Alan the Quarryman’s in the villa of Brotherstone (BWK) and four acres of land in the territory of Brotherstone, for an annual render of 1d on the feast of St James the Apostle or certain white gloves for all services except the lord’s multure, which toft and croft and four acres of arable land Oliver his brother gave and by his charter established to Dryburgh Abbey.
