- William de Beauair has granted and given to May Priory his land of Airdrie (FIF), namely, a ploughgate and an oxgang, in perpetual alms, for the welfare of the souls of himself, his lady Countess Ada, and King Malcolm, and for the welfare of King William, as attested in the lord king’s charter, i.e., that land which he gave his wife as a dowry, namely, an oxgang, and an oxgang which he gave Ralph his serviens, which will go to the monks of May after their deaths. William is to enter into fraternitas and be buried with the monks.
