Description
Walter of Berkeley, chamberlain of king of Scots, [grants?] to Holm Cultram Abbey land which they hold of him by these bounds, as the great road comes from the bridge of ‘Pollatkertin’ and goes until ‘Letegilultan’ and as the aforesaid way extends itself toward the oak cross near ‘Cloenchonethro’, and as the valley goes into the wood to a certain ditch, and as that goes into ‘Poladkertin’ (in Kirkgunzeon ph., KCB).
