Description
William Avenel, son and heir of Gilbert Avenel, and Matilda his wife, has given, granted and quitclaimed to Thomas Wallace, son of Adam Wallace, his whole land of ‘Tarveht In dan’ (in Tarvit, FIF), with all its pertinents, to be held of the heirs of the late Sir John of Wilton, his feudator, in feu and heritage, for an annual render of one pair of gilt spurs or 6d on Pentecost, for all service, custom and exaction, saving the service of the lord king and the lord bishop of St Andrews.
