Document 4/8/7 (St A. Lib., 334)

Description
Agreement between (i) the canons of St Andrews and (ii) the nuns of Haddington. The canons grant to the said nuns, and make firm by the protection of this document, those portions of the church of Haddington (ELO) which Richard, bishop of St Andrews, donated to the nuns themselves, for them to hold and possess perpetually in alms as freely, quietly, and undisturbed as freely and fully as the charter of Bishop Richard bears witness. The canons likewise grant and make firm to the said nuns that donation which Bishop Robert gave and granted to the nuns on the day he blessed the churchyard of the monastery.
