- Description
- A friendly agreement is made between the canons of St Andrews and the canons of Dryburgh concerning certain teinds of wheat and fishing, namely, that by common consent of each convent, the canons of Dryburgh shall retain the land of Bangly Hill (ELO) from the church of Haddington, which for some time they are cultivating at their own expense, and they shall possess all the teinds of the land just as their right allows, rendering for good peace to the canons of St Andrews 2 marks annually at the feast of St Michael. If it happens that the said land is given or surrendered at feuferme, the church of Haddington shall obtain all the teinds in full and without any opposition. In addition, they have agreed that the church of St Andrews shall pay all the teinds or ecclesiastical rights for the fishing of Kilrenny (FIF) in the harbour of St Andrews, but the church of Kilrenny shall reserve payment to the mother church.
