- Description
- Robert Avenel has given at feuferme in perpetuity and has established by this his writing to Kelso Abbey, his land, wood and pasture which belongs to him and his heirs, that is, the sixth part of Innerwick (ELO), which is facing the land of the said monks of Kelso, by stated bounds, free and quit from all service, of ‘inware’ and ‘utware’ and other aids, customs and exactions, for an annual render in perpetuity of 40d on the feast of St James, and a pair of boots (botas) on the feast of St Andrew.
