Description
Elias of Upper Ayton, with the consent and by the wish of his heirs, has given and granted, and by this his charter established to Coldingham Priory on toft in the same villa of Ayton, and two other crofts, and 20 acres of land in the plain of the same villa, with common pasture, in return for the fraternity of the monastery, and for six merks of silver and 3 shillings which Ralph the prior, and the monastic community have given to me his great need.
