Description
Brother James, papal legate and chaplain, commands [Hugh], abbot of Dryburgh, [Thomas], prior of Coldingham and Master L[aurence], archdeacon of St Andrews, to hear the case between the abbot and monks of Kelso and Alan de Montgomery, knight, concerning the exaction of certain teinds and damages inflicted, and causing what is decreed to be observed firmly by ecclesiastical censure. If all of them cannot take part in carrying this out, let two of them do it.
